AGE NEHS Members Visit Oasis, Safe Haven:

On 11/3/2016, AGE NEHS members visited Oasis Safe Haven in Paterson- a facility that serves low-income women and children in need. This trip extended into the afternoon hours and NEHS students were there until 6:00 pm. During their time at Oasis, NEHS students received a tour of the facility, assisted in the after-school program by helping students with homework, sponsored an ice-cream sundae party, and gave out goody bags. They did an amazing job representing AGE. Oasis staff members were extremely appreciative of the assistance that our students had provided, and they are hoping for future collaboration as they expressed the dire need for these services.

NEHS Induction Ceremony:

Academy of Greatness and Excellence, a proud chapter of the National Elementary Honor Society, held its first Induction Ceremony yesterday. AGE's NEHS Students Putting Smiles on Faces:

One of the pillars of the AGE National Elementary Honor Society is Service, and that is what the NEHS students provided last Wednesday at the Woodcrest Healthcare Center. They visited the elderly of our community, spending quality time with them as they added smiles to their faces. The students were accompanied by Ms. Heba Aboubakr, the NEHS advisor.

NEHS 1st Annual Earth Day Workshop:

Building upon the pillar of Leadership, members of the AGE National Elementary Honor Society continue to provide "Service" to the AGE community, giving a series of informative workshops on Healthy Eating, Making Changes In Our Lives, and Growing Gardens. Students who attended these workshops participated in hands-on activities that included planting seeds in their very own mini-gardens to take home..
